Restaurant Look Out Point - KL City View
Seen the recommendation at Rojaks’ daily about this Look Out Point Restaurant at Hulu Langat highway plus Daniel’s invitation, we decided to go for a try.

Restaurant Look Out Point
It was located up the hill. Chilling and fogy. We were able to see the beautiful night scene of whole Kuala Lumpur.

Once you see the style of the restaurant’s decoration, you can tell it was run by Malay. [Daniel's comment] When the time we arrived, it was not crowded. They have like about slightly more 10 tables in the restaurant.

The Environment
Being quite kiasu this time, we took the table at the side where we were able to see the view without any blocks.

Let’s check out the food.

Ice Chocolate [RM4.50]

Teh Dangdut. Daniel’s drink - He almost wanted to dance there. [RM3.00]

Black Pepper Lamb. [RM12.80]

Sizzling New Zealand Beef Special [RM15.80]

Sizzling BBQ Chicken [RM15.80]

Sirloin Steak [RM15.80]

Special Sizzling Steak [RM12.80]
Looks pretty good, taste… Hmm…

Daniel: NO WAY. The steak was too well done.
The waiter did not ask when ordering the steak. Not professional. Therefore, all the steaks were over cooked. It was the worst steak ever.
My Sizzling BBQ chicken was normal. That would be quite safe to order chicken chop. Hehehe.
What tasted very good? It was the HAM with cheese tasted the most yummy of all.
Night views were gorgeous, beautiful. When comes to food… hmm… pretty disappointed. Maybe next time should have order fried rice. :p
It was getting really cold when we were about to pay the bill.
Total damage: RM93.77 [5 person]
Oh ya, they did not state 5% government charge in the menu but it was charged in the bill.
Actually, this could be quite a cool place to hang out with buddies, chit-chatting, or dating, while enjoying the night view.
Here, I’ll include the direction to the Restaurant Look Out Point.
Look Out Point Restaurant and Cafe, Kompleks Pelancongan Menara Tinjau.
1.Exit the MRR2 at Pandan Indah Interchange.
2.Go straight until the T-Junction. Esso will be on your left. Turn right at the traffic light.
3.Take a left at the next traffic light
4.Take another left at the traffic light beside Puteri Plaza.
5.Turn right at the traffic light junction to Ulu Langat/Kajang. (Please take note on this, you might missed this.)
6.From this traffic light the road is winding for about 3 km.
7.Look out for the sign board “Menara Tinjauâ€.
8.Will come across a food court on the right with carpark. Turn in and drive up the hill to the LookOut Point Restaurant
Actually the directions were quite clear. Hope you can get there.
Such beautiful scene, I will not miss out by taking at least 1 picture with it.

Did not bring tripod, this was the best I can take.

Most Beautiful Night View of Kuala Lumpur City
p/s: Was surprised that quite a few blogs saying the food was nice. Hmm… Maybe we were having bad luck that night.
Updates: Please check the website out for latest contact number : http://www.allfoodnet.com/?uid-489-action-viewspace-itemid-850

btw.. tht winding road leads to my school.. i mean my ex-school.. bcz it is in hulu langat.. anyway, highway is an overstatement.. it’s actually a mountain pass..
2 yrs ago (the last time i went back to my school to collect my SPM cert), there was only the menara tinjau.. then never go thru that road liao.. now got restoran sumore tim ah? surprising..
The view of the KL is awesome. Even if the food is no good, it’s worthy to go there too!
lol, when i started going this place … there want even the menara tinjau, only a sign board which says they are gonna build it … then they have the menara tinjau … the walk up there is teribble …
then reach up there, got some drunkards up there, singing and talking loudly …
hence we had to walk back down … sienz …
then the famous stretch which overlooks KL, some 1 km before the restaurant … park there also scared people come and rob u … then police will never fail to go up there whenever we go … the bugger will come turn on his siren … then we just head back down ..
but its got a nice view of KL …
but but u kenot compare with the other expensive stikhouz ler …. sommo the stik so nipis only … how to do medium lol! but for that price really no komplen lorr n the view …. worth even single sen ler!
eh the rest run by chinis … not malay …. i spoke to the boss that day ….

earl: u so early early discover the place.. there no light.. not scary meh? dark dark one… somemore it’s hill wo… terjatuh also no one notice… i rather go to little genting
wingz: i went to some other restaurant that sell cheap cheap western food also taste like this one… but a lot cheaper wo.. yea la.. i understand the view there is fantastic, but i m paying for the food ma, not the view… little genting also got this view… but it’s FOC.. :p so i m just complaining about the food la.. where they can actually do better than this …
as i said, maybe we were having bad luck that day, since few of the blogs were saying the food was nice.
the restaurant run by chinese meh? sei mou, all the waiter waitress i saw, all malay lehhhh…. somemore the style so malay! ahaha
mz: yea… view is very nice, should be there when u come back, dun worry… they even plan to extend the restaurant. I saw ‘renovations’ there..

tq
kay: i think they dun have telephone. coz no number was printed at the menu or even their receipt. that’s why i din put it up here also.
maybe u just storm there beramai-ramai, i m sure they will have arrangement.
hi all… I live in Ampang area and go for dinner/drinks there at least once a week.
just a short note on restaurant history.
The Menara Tinjau was built by the Majlis Perbandaran Kajang. After about 2 years no one dared to open a restaurant along this ‘lonely’ and dark stretch of road. They said “Where got business?” So the restaurant owners (Chinese+Malay) decided to take on the challange and opened the first restaurant there in June 06.
As word of mouth spread about this beautiful hilltop restaurant which boasts of a good view and reasonably priced food more and more people started coming up.
Initially the Majlis said only one eatery, center exhibition hall and one section merchandize so the carpark would have been sufficient but now…they have given out the other 2 lots as eateries. Now carparking problem - so park at foothill and walk up burn calories before and after meals.
During weekends the placed is jammed packed with people and cars. To enjoy your meal, without having people wait behind you, I would highly recommend you to go during a weekday and enjoy both the food and the view.
No doubt when the crowd becomes too large the occasional mix up and delays occur but … eating a steak (inform the waiter - medium rare) for RM15.50 (add 5% service charge) with the city lights sprawled before you… where else gotlah
hey… nice pics you got there…
erm well do you have a number to the restaurant? i like to make a booking for v-day??
thanks… much appreciated…
adrien: i m sorry, but i dun have their number
oh it`s ok
then i`ll find other sources
thanks

waikitfire: Wow, surprise to see u comment here! HOw are you? I m doing great
went to ur blog, wei, become leng jai and more leng jai edi wo..:p
You guys are silly. I went there last night for my first anniverary with my bf and the food was DELICIOUS! I had special sizzling lamb chop and he had the steak combo with fish and tiger prawns. We were VERY satisfied with our food and the price was more than worth it. Maybe you guys are used to only eating at Victoria Station or something, but not ALL of us can afford to pay RM50 for a steak.
inayah: if you think the food were delicious, good for u. That does not make anyone here silly who think the food sucks. Thanks for ur comment.
Who knows lookout point improve the food quality after so long i’ve been there?
And maybe you haven eaten any nice steak before. Hahah
p/s: very irresponsible of you and unfair to anybody that u called silly. That does not make u any smarter. thank you.
